One of my favorite things at the end of a hot summer day is to kick back and sip on some fancy homemade cocktails on the dock. It’s been hot here in Austin, really, really hot…as in 45 days and counting of 100+ degree days, hot. Pass me an ice cold beverage please!!
My version of Sangria is simple (of course) and without the added sugar; it is the perfect “Skinny Girl” cocktail. Tastes good, makes you feel good, and it’s good for your physique, what’s not to like?! Oh, and have you noticed it’s absolutely GORGEOUS?! This White Sangria Sparkler is an immediate show stopper when entertaining!
It’s also incredibly crisp and refreshing, an absolute must to help cool you down on those sticky summer nights.
A lot of people are under the misconception that you can not drink and still lose weight. While reducing your alcohol intake is advisable, an occasional cocktail is just fine! I think it’s one of the things that can help keep you on the path for the long haul. Sometimes you just need a cocktail, you know?!
As long as you keep your cordials clean and light (steer clear of sugary, high calorie and chemical laden mixers), there’s nothing wrong with having a fabulous cocktail from time to time!

Then find a lovely spot outside to relax, sip, and catch up with friends. I sat on my dock outside and watched the sunset over Austin. A pretty nice way to end the day if you ask me.

- 1-2 bottles of crisp white wine, I used 1 bottle
- 2 ripe local peaches, sliced
- 1 pint raspberries
- 2 kiwis
- several sprigs of mint
- Stevia, I used NuNaturals Alcohol Free Stevia

2. Let sit for at least an hour in the fridge to let the flavors infuse. In the summertime, it’s also nice to freeze half of the fruit and add right before serving so they act as ice cubes in the Sangria.
